The Pucker-Schroeder Private team names themselves Team Poa Ndizi (“Cool Bananas” in Swahili) then heads to bed at Shira Camp

Jambo, family, friends, and loved ones, it’s the Pucker-Schroeder Private climb here on Kilimanjaro. We will hereby be known as Team Poa ndizi (that’s “The Cool Bananas”). It’s the 23rd of June and we’re at Shira Camp (12,500 feet above sea level). We’re having a good time: candlelight dinner, mountain views, full moon, sunshine, happy climbers.

Tomorrow we’re going to have our first long day, climbing up to nearly 15,000 feet, and a descent down to beautiful Barranco Camp. Soon we will be in bed.

We would like to give a shout out to a few folks:

The Chivanas (spelling?) would like to give a shout out to the Mist (spelling?) family, including Billy Schroeder, Jeffrey Pucker, Maggie Pucker, and then Senor Michael and Senor Steve. Also we’re very excited to hear that the Blackhawks won the last game. Hey yo Patrick Cain. And the Bruins suck (“oh hey hey hey” called out in background). Go hawks! (yelled) So we hope they win the whole time. (comments in background).

Yeehaw! That’s all for now. We’ll give you guys a call tomorrow. Usiku mwema (Swahili for “good night”).
