Hi Folks.
This is Carole with the Everest Base Camp Trekkers, reporting in from Lukla where everyone is safe and sound, and in very high spirits.
We made fast work of our last hike today, making it from Monjo to Lukla in about 4 hours. It was a beautiful walk today, at first along the river and then uphill past blooming rhododendrons and through several small villages before ending our trek in Lukla.
We are looking forward to a celebration with our Sherpas and porters this evening, and plan to fly back to Kathmandu early tomorrow morning. We will report in again from Kathmandu.
