Bhutan Trek launches!

Friends, family and loved ones,

Carole and l flew into the old city of Paro Bhutan early this morning to make preparations for this season’s Laya-Gasa Trek in western Bhutan. We enjoyed the spectacular landing at Paro airport, as the plane deftly corkscrewed down between the mountains to land at the airport in the valley. The team arrives tomorrow and after getting them settled we will explore the Paro Dzong, a fort and administrative center that was first used in the 16th century to defend against Tibetan invaders.
We will check back with you tomorrow. Thanks for following our adventure in Bhutan,
Vern Tejas
