Aconcagua 2020 – Team Dances With Mules Caches above Basecamp

Hey Everyone!

Mike and Hannah here checking in. We put in our cache at Camp Canada this morning at 16,600’. We moved quite a bit of food, group gear, and personal gear up the mountain which sets us up well for our move to camp Canada Wednesday morning.

Everyone was moving well and seems to be doing well with the altitude. The cache took us 5.5 hours round trip. We hung out at 16,600’ for about an hour and a half, getting some good acclimatization time in.

Everyone is enjoying some down time and looking forward to our last rest day at basecamp tomorrow. We’ve been thoroughly enjoying the good food and good company.

We’ll check in again tomorrow evening, we all send our love back home!!

Mike, Hannah, and Team Dances With Mules.

Wash Down Gear When It Gets Dirty

Cleaning Down Gear: What’s The Real Deal? Today’s down can be chemically treated so it is hydrophobic, and is available in super-powered 900 or 1000+ fill-power. These fancy, lightweight, and expensive items naturally give us pause at the laundry room door. We automatically know not to treat our down gear like a cotton t-shirt. So what’s […]
