Day 5: Colpa to Lucma

Hello Everyone,

Another incredible day here in Peru! We’ve truly been blessed with fantastic weather along this whole journey. In the morning we woke up to another amazing breakfast, with fresh yoghurt, juice, fruit, eggs, toast, cereal, and of course some good Peruvian coffee. Overall we dropped another 2,000ft of elevation today but it wasn’t exactly all downhill. It felt good though to not have all of it be down. It was rolling but an overall loss of elevation. We saw knew plants and trees today, along with avocado trees, and coffee plantations as we neared our lodge for the night. Right before arriving at the lodge we stopped at a local families house for a demonstration of how to make a cup of coffee from picking the beans to roasting, grinding, and finally drinking! It was one good cup of coffee! We just finished up a great steak dinner with potatoes, and an avocado stuffed salad and are heading off to bed. My face and stomach are hurting with all of the laughs we have had today. Tomorrow we will get our first view of Machu Picchu and then sleep at the base of it. Thanks for following!

Talk to you soon,

Ben
