Denali 2022: Arctic Goons Move Up to Camp One

“Hey everybody it’s Mike here with Arctic Goons. We have moved our camp from Base Camp to Camp One. We are now camped at 7600 feet and we are getting ready to do our cache day tomorrow. We’re gonna take some of our equipment and we’re gonna move it up to 10,000 feet, and we’re gonna dig a hole in the snow and we’re gonna leave it there, and then we’re gonna come back down and stay back here at 7600 feet. We’re getting ready for our move up to our second camp which is at 11,000 feet. Today was a really good day, we had great weather. There were some clouds which kept it nice and cool for us for the most part, and we left camp at around 8:30 AM and we rolled into Camp One right around 4:00 PM. Everybody set up their tents and we got dinner ready and we enjoyed some Tasty Bites, which were really good, and everybody’s happy and healthy and they’re having a really good time. Everybody sends their love back home and and we’re thinking of of all of our friends and family. Alright, we’ll tune in tomorrow.”

  • Denali ’24 in a Nutshell

    Submission by Jess, Alaska Operations.
