Jambo friends, family and loved ones,
We kicked off our Kilimanjaro expedition with a delicious breakfast complete with exotic tropical fruit. Afterwards we all got to know one another during our orientation ceremony. Lots of good conversations about what to expect from and how it would be the highest that anyone had even been. This is such a great mountain to learn on especially with a supportive group as this team. We chose “Magnificent Seven”for our handle.
We practiced carbo loading for lunch and then went right into gear check. Everyone had what they need tor the mountain. So some took a walking tour of town which included a walk through the central market. 
You can get anything you can want at the market place!
Beans galore!
We consumed a memorable dinner feast and told lots of stories. 
Heading for bed early tonight because tomorrow is our first day of climbing. Which is luck and stay tuned for the further adventures of team “Magnificent Seven”
