Hello Everyone,
Yesterday we began our first Machame trip of this season! We started with an orientation, gear check, and city walking tour. After a little rest in the afternoon we went out to a local restaurant for our welcome dinner.
This morning we are finishing up loading our gear, having breakfast, and will soon be heading to the Machame gate to begin our adventure. We are all excited to get started hiking, and meet some of the Tanzanian staff that will be working with us to help make the goal of reaching the roof of Africa a reality.
I will be updating here daily as we make our way around and up Kilimanjaro!
