Ama Dablam 2018 – Visiting AAI Sherpa foundation

Greetings from Namche!

Our traditional Ama Dablam team members are nearing their summit attempt on Island Peak tomorrow (Oct 21st) and we will post some pictures from them shortly. Our pre-acclimatized trip walked up to 4200m today (first field day) and was blessed with amazing views of Ama Dablam.

In the afternoon we got a tour of the local school in Namche. The AAI Sherpa Foundation has been apart of building this school and the growth of the educating kids in the Khumbu region. It was great to see the foundation in person today. For more information on the foundation, please visit http://www.alpineascentsfoundation.org

The team feels good and plans to move up valley and working towards Ama Base camp on Oct 23rd.

Attached are the views we got to see this morning. Enjoy!
