Kilimanjaro: January 16th Machame group arrives

Hello Everyone,

Our January 16th group all made it safely to Arusha last night! We all had smooth travels to Tanzania and are happy to be here in the warmth of Arusha. This morning we did an orientation of the climb followed by a gear check and then on to lunch at the hotel. After lunch the group headed out with some local friends for a tour of Arusha. Next up will be dinner at a nearby restaurant and a good nights sleep before heading off on our climb of Kilimanjaro starting tomorrow morning. We will spend 7 days hiking around the southern side of Kili before summiting. I will be posting daily here either by email or voice recording so check back each day for an update.

Thanks for following along,

Ben Jones
