Lukla

Hi everyone,

Some of us are still waiting here in Lukla for better weather along with 1,200 or so others!

Part of our team yesterday opted to hike down an hour or so to a field where helicopters are able to get in below a cloud layer and land. Carolyn, Dee Ann, Collin, Karen, Adrien, and Ronda arrived safely in Kathmandu yesterday afternoon. Our man Jiban, in Kathmandu was able to get one of the first helicopters in to pickup our group as a lot of others had been waiting for a while!

The rest of us, Matt, Anne, and soon Kristy, and Roselyn are waiting. Patiently! Roselyn, and Kristy will join us here in Lukla tomorrow as they make there way down the Khumbu from Island Peak. Most of the rooms in Lukla are full as more trekkers come in everyday, and some are having to hike back out to other villages.

We are all do great though! Getting sleep, reading, and checking out the sites in Lukla. There is actually a “Starbucks” here in Lukla, that we have been to frequently and it has free Wifi!

I’ll keep you updated, when anything changes!
