Jambo friends, family and loved ones,
Up, up and up we climbed rockier and steeper than yesterday. And the vegetation is changing too. 
We discovered this lovely African Gladiola amongst the petrified lava flows. 
The early afternoon showers failed to dampen our spirits as we entered Shira Camp at 12,600 feet above mean sea level (AMSL). 
Tomorrow it’s Lava Tower for us. Stay tuned!
