Up early and off the the airport by 5am. The Himalaya is typically clearner early in the morning. We were darn lucky to fly as it was so cloudy the shut down the Kathmandu airport after we took off.
We acclimatized by seeing the sights of beautiful downtown Lukla. With four doctors on our trip, the hospital was of great to visit.
We celebrated the first day of our climb we it delicious cake. Team is off to a great start.
