Rest day in Pheriche was a success

Hello Everyone,

We are just wrapping up an exceptional rest day here in Pheriche and heading off to bed. After breakfast we put on our packs and headed out the backdoor of the lodge and headed up the hill to gain some altitude and views. We topped out at about 14,500ft and had some great views of the surrounding peaks. From the spot that we stopped we could see 3 of the World’s 8,000m peaks: Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu. We could also see Ama Dablam and many others in every direction we looked. Once we descended back to the lodge we had lunch and then relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. This group is doing very well with the altitude so far! Tomorrow we will head to Lobuche at 16,200ft. Thanks for following!
