Good-bye to the Papallacta Hot Springs, Off to the Volcanoes!

Good morning family and friends!

Yesterday we hiked to the Bear’s High Pass (4,385 m/14,386 ft.) located in the Eastern Ecuadorian Range. It took us 5 hours and 20 minutes of steady walking to get up there. The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to rest and recovery before our move up to the base of Cayambe, the third highest mountain in Ecuador. Two team members went to the spa and enjoyed massages. We had dinner in the evening and watched the World Series too!

We are all looking forward to having the first views of Cayambe volcano later on today!

Best to you all!
