TAPS Kilimanjaro climb begins!

Jambo Friends, family and loved ones!

All team members have arrived in Arusha, Tanzania. We introduced ourselves to our new teammates and learned valuable information about our expedition to the top of Africa. Then it was time to check and see if we had everything that will be needed to complete the climb successfully.

That of course built a mighty appetite which we had to satisfy over a scrumptious lunch ?

Then it was off to take in the sights of beautiful downtown Arusha.

First destination was the town clock to tower which sits half way between Cairo and Capetown. We visited the Freedom monument and then the local produce market.

Natures bounty!

Everyone is in good spirits as we anticipate climbing Kilimanjaro tomorrow. Please follow along at AlpineAscents.com under cybercast.

All our best,Guides Carole and Vern Tejas
