Team 1 heading home, Team 2 arrives

Hello everyone,

We have wrapped up the first trip to Machu Picchu and have started the second trip. Yesterday everyone arrived safe and sound with the second group. We had a great lunch, orientation, gear check, followed by a fantastic dinner at a great restaurant in the middle of the historic city of Cusco.

Today, Peru is celebrating Independence Day, and the city was full and vibrant. We had a great time walking through the local market, a historic Cathedral, and on to some Incan ruins above Cusco. It’s amazing how much Incan ruins and stonework is still all around and in this city. It is truly filled with history!

We’ve got another great group here and looking forward to getting back on the trail to Machu Picchu tomorrow! I hope you’ll follow along! I’ll post a few pictures from today on the next post. The team has also come prepared with a team name, so I want to introduce Team 2 as: Team Pump Up Terry More
