6/4: Greetings from Talkeetna! Today, guides and climbers met at the Alpine Ascents facility to prepare for their expedition. It was a proper summer day here in AK with temperatures in the 80’s mid day in town. After a full morning spent briefing, checking that our personal gear was in order and packing snacks we headed into Talkeetna for pizza and some surprise live folk music. We then had a great briefing from a National Park Service ranger and the climbers enjoyed their last evening in town before life on the glacier. Stay tuned for daily updates on the team’s progress!
