Hello everyone this is team Lakpa’s dirty Dozen checking in from lava tower 15,100 ft. Some how my last three days call in post didn’t went through . I am extremely sorry about that.
We got little bit of rain pretty much every day except our second day but today was the worst it last hole day on and off rain / snow. We got about an inch and half of snow on ground, every one was so excited to see the snow because we miss our white Christmas couple days ago. Also mountain got more beautiful.
today is fourth day of our trek we spent last night at moir camp 13,500ft.yesterday was G Geary 65th birthday, it was so nice if ours cook baked beautiful birthday cake and the hole crew sang half an hour birthday songs.
We left this morning around 8:30 it took us about 3 hours to get lava tower. This is one of our shortest day. we are going to spent a night here as acclimatization purpose.
After lunch we took an hour hiked above lava tower toward western bridge, Arrow glacier camp 16,100ft so we can sleep better tonight at 15,100ft. This will be record for most of the team members sleeping at this elevation. Everyone is feeling good and done great job staying warm and keeping dry during our hike. Thank you for following with us and stay tune will be checking in tomorrow. Good night
