Kilimanjaro: Team Mambo #9 and the Banana Fritters Have a Successful Summit!

Hello Everyone,

Today at 6:20am our entire team made it safely to the “Roof of Africa”! The team did great all the way to the top of Kilimanjaro and then all the way back down to 10,000ft where we are now at Mweka Camp. Everyone is exhausted but happy with the accomplishment, and excited to finish with our last hike tomorrow down to Mweka gate. We had an incredible sunrise just before reaching the summit and had great weather all the way back down to our high camp. During lunch we got a lot of snow and hail at camp before descending, making it a little tricky on the descent, but we took it slow and everyone descended safely. We have just finished our last dinner on the mountain and are heading off to bed. Thanks for following along! I will send one last update tomorrow as we make our way back to Arusha. Ben Jones
