Team Rosebowl watches a beautiful sunrise from the summit of Kilimanjaro, the top of Africa!

Hello everyone, this is Ben calling in with Team Rosebowl here on Kilimanjaro. We all summited today, 100% success today on the summit of Kilimanjaro this morning! And we are back down at the Millenium Camp (at just over 12,000 feet).

And I’m going to pass around the phone for a few folks to say some things back home:

Hi everybody! This is Cindy, I know some of you are tuning into these things every night, thanks for doing that. We had a great day, the summit was awesome, got incredible shots of the glacier on the way down. And we all feel good! So we’re off to hit them one more last day tomorrow, and then we’re going to hit the Serengeti. So we’ll see you soon and thanks for keeping up with us. Hi Cod and Lins, bye!

(transmission cuts out for a moment, as phone is passed to another climber)

… Just saying hi, all is well here. Look forward to seeing you in a couple days. Little sore, little tired, actually exhausted, but other than that, in great shape and had a great time.

Hi Kitty, this is Jim. It was a long day, but a successful day. Everybody made it to the top, which was great. We had pretty good weather, we saw the sunrise over east Africa. And all told, we were on the trail for about 14 hours today. So we’re all excited to get out, and get on safari and we’ll see you in a few days. Take care, okay, bye!

Hey everybody, this is John and I’m here with Lindsay and we were on the mountain for our anniversary a few days ago, but now today we got to summit Kilimanjaro (19,341 feet). The sun was rising, so it was really exciting. We all are pretty tired, but we miss you all back home and we’ll see you when we get back there.
Bye!

(called out in the background, then as the phone is handed around, the transmission becomes choppy and ends)

Taking a break on summit day to enjoy the full moon.
