Team Travels to Terskol

> Today was a day of endurance training and the entire team proved their metal: After we checked out of our St Petersburg hotel at 10 am this morning, we toured the highlights of the world famous Hermitage Museum with our expert, very Russian guide Luba. Then we headed to the airport, where we enjoyed another very Russian experience of checking in our many bags of gear at a Russian airport. After a short flight delay, we took off and landed in Mineral Vody. The flight was smooth, notwithstanding the incredible number of crying babies on board! Now known as Team Cry Babies, we then began the last leg of our journey to the mountain, the drive to Terskol, fortified by some local ice cream and snacks. The team was tired from the really long day (and really loud flight!) — but still in good humor– when we arrived at our hotel at about 11:15 pm. We had a quick dinner and now to bed. Really excited to wake up tomorrow morning in the beautiful Baksan Valley! Apologies for not including photos today. We have minimal bandwidth but we will try again tomorrow.
