Tough as Snails descend to Arusha

Jambo friends, family and loved ones!

We Snails slide our way down to the Mewaka gate at the edge of the park. When we got here the whole crew threw a celebration party for us. There was singing, dancing and wonderful food.

We were enjoying the leisurely pace of schedule which enabled us to acclimatize well and ultimately ensured that the whole team stood on top of Africa.

Giant Senecio plants are endemic to Kilimanjaro and look like something out of Jurassic Park.

We did a briefing about the Snails up coming Safar iand had another feast where we related the highlights of our climb.

Everyone is tucking into bed early for another big day chasing Lions across the Serengeti. I’ll try to get out some more photos in the morning.

All our best,Vern Tejas
