Everest Base Camp Trek and Island Peak Climbers Trek to Phakding

Namaste Friends, Family & Loved Ones,

We had an exciting flight today from Kathmandu to Lukla. The pilot was able to maneuver our Twin Otter through the clouds, which cleared just before we started our descent to Lukla. After a second breakfast in Lukla, we hit the trail and started our trek to Phakding.
We took our time, stopping to visit a small monastery along the way and taking lots of photos. The light rain didn’t dampen our spirits.
We settled into our tea house mid-afternoon and had some time to relax before dinner. Then early to bed, as we had woken up around 4 am to catch our flight this morning.
Check back tomorrow as we head to Namche Bazar.
