Andy and Brad take the Lost Boys flag to the top of Antisana (18,891 feet). Congratulations!

Greetings from Ecuador, this is Andy Veres of the Lost Boys (or “Muchachos Perdidos” in the local language) reporting that the team was blessed with amazing weather on Antisana, and courtesy of our terrific guides, were able to place two climbers on the summit! Led by our Ecuadorian guide Freddy, Brad and I reached the glaciated top of Ecuador’s fourth highest volcano shortly after sunrise.

Today we also said farewell to Antisana National Park and travelled to Hacienda los Mortinos for a day of relaxation after 3 days of intensive preparation and climbing. Our gracious host at this charming mountain lodge, Pablo, welcomed us like old friends, truly Ecuadorian hospitality at its finest.

We’ll make the most of this recovery time as we continue to improve our acclimatization and look forward to Cotopaxi two days from now, where we hope to take a Lost Boys’ group photo on the summit of Ecuador’s second highest peak.

Wishing everyone all the best, cheers.
