Team 6, Team Chorizo summits Aconcagua!

Hola, this is Dennis calling for an update for Team Chorizo. We had an excellent day today. We ended up summiting Aconcagua even in the face of adverse conditions! This year we seem to have a very dry terrain up there, which meant it was quite difficult bailing up the moraine instead of kicking steps up snow. But everyone took it in stride and we had a great time on the summit.

On the way down we also had some snow, it’s still snowing outside at the moment. We are all huddled up in the tents, fed, and watered and happy, very, very happy.

Our plan tomorrow is to head down to Base Camp, and hopefully get a really nice lunch made for us, the first one we haven’t made for ourselves in a number of days.

So we’ll give you an update when we get to Mulas, Plaza Mulas, and everyone’s happy. We’ll talk to you soon, ciao.
