Our other Antarctica Expedition Team, to be known as Team Pancake has also arrived at Vinson Base Camp eager to rock and roll

Hey there friends, family, and loved ones this is Team Pancake checking in from high on the flanks of Mount Vinson. Yeah, I know my voice is gone this way, I haven’t been doing these. But we are now because it’s starting to come back.

Anyways, the five of us have landed successfully at Vinson Base Camp. And we’re now packing and racking, trying to get everything in shape so that we can cruise up to Camp 1 in the next day or so.

Yesterday we did knot class and got organized. Today we’ve pulled our lunches, gone over sled rigging, and right after we have hot soup for lunch, we’re going to go back out on the field and work on anchors and crevasse rescue. So we’re ready to rock and roll tomorrow when we get blessed with good weather.

We’re going to be doing these cybercasts throughout the trip, so please check in frequently to find out how Team Pancake is doing. Vern is clear, ciao!
