Namaste friends, family and loved ones,
The early bird gets the photo. We got up at 5am just to catch the sun rise on Everest. We were not disappointed. Happy! Crystal clear views of Everest and Lhotse along with Tenzing Norgay Sherpa were had.
Our acclimatization hike above town provided us with a birds eye view of Namche Bazaar, and there were some spectacular vistas (pictured below).
We paid our respects at the monastery and were blessed by the Lama. The Bazaar was in full swing so we strolled through the market that Namche is famous for. We took in the local museum and visited the kids boarding home where Alpine Ascents climbers sponsor 16 students. They were in the midst of finals but took some time out to meet the team.
Tomorrow we head up a side valley to the Sherpa villages of Thamo and Thame. Everyone seems to be adapting well.
