EBC Trek 2019 – Thame Town for Team Khumbu

Namaste friends, family and loved ones,

After spinning the prayer wheels we treked up the Bote Kosi Valley, we took in the amazing scenery. We met many lovely locals (second photo below), and observed bad wild Himalayan goats (Tars) eating fresh potato starts out of the farmers field (third photo). Free lunch!

We climbed up to the monastery high above the wee village of Thame with the thought of getting blessed by the 6 year old guru but were disappointed that he was in winter quarters. On our return to our tea house we caught a glimpse of the rare male Blood Pheasant (fifth photo).

The team is impressively healthy and in great spirits. Our plan is to go to see the Hillary school in the village of Khumjung tomorrow.

All our best, Carole & Vern Tejas with the Team Khumbu
