2019 Sacred Valley Trek – Lamay to Huacahuasi

Hello Everyone,

We’ve had a great couple of days here in Peru. We have seen many archeological sites from the Inkas as well as terraces and houses that were pre-Inkan. Each day we’ve had some interesting hiking while visiting sites and seeing beautiful vistas from high mountain passes. Yesterday we hiked above 14,200ft and today we went up to 13,800ft and then dropped down to our beautiful lodge at 12,500ft. Each room has a patio with its own Jacuzzi and the dining room has almost floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views down the valley and looking down on the small remote village of Huacahuasi. Tomorrow we’ve got our longest hike of the trip and will return back to the same lodge. Everyone continues to do very well with the altitude. Thanks for following along, more pictures to come tomorrow.
