Last day of trekking and Machu Picchu Day

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for not getting a cybercast out yesterday. We are all doing great! Our last day of hiking started out on an old Incan trail up 2,000ft to a pass in the Jungle. After that the rest of the day was a lot of descending, 3,000ft of it down to the train station. We had an incredible trout lunch overlooking beautiful mountains and Machu Picchu in the distance. A couple more hours of hiking and we were at the train station for our short but comfortable ride to Aguas Calientes. It was a fun night before waking up early to head up to Machu Picchu!

It’s hard to explain the beauty of this special place. We had a tour and then enjoyed a few hours of exploring some of the key spots before heading back down to have lunch and catch our train back to Cusco……..

We will be back to Cusco in the next 2 hours! What an incredible trip with an incredible group! Thanks to this team for making it an amazing trip!
