Hello from Zermatt!
This morning we meet our climbers on the final Matterhorn program of the season. We had breakfast today at Hotel Bahnhof as we review our plan for the next week of climbing. We did a gear check and picked up some last minute items as needed in town. We then rode up the Gornergrate Railway toward the Riffelhorn. We did some technical rock climbing practice in our boots on the route along with learning some new rope techniques and skills. We had amazing weather today and some great pictures to prove it!
Tomorrow we are planning on riding up the Klien Matterhorn lift and making an ascent of Polux on the way to the Val D’Ayas hut. We will be spending the next two nights in mountain huts. We will update the cybercast from the field.
