Team Lucky Mule Shoe enjoyed a stunningly clear but windy day on our hike to an overlook of the south face of Aconcagua. We reached an elevation of 13,400 ft, which will assist in our acclimatization as we ascend to Plaza de Mulas tomorrow.
This evening, the ceremonial transfer of the mule shoe was completed in grand style with rousing speeches. A new team member has been entrusted with the immense honor of the care, safekeeping, and portering of the mule shoe to Plaza de Mulas.
